North Area Community Grants

The goal of CJP’s North Area Community Grants program is to enhance the well-being and vibrancy of the North Area Jewish community.

Grant applications are welcome for results-oriented projects and initiatives that demonstrate a measurable and sustainable impact within the North Area communities and involve one or more of the following areas:

  • Community Enhancement Initiatives: The creation of an initiative, event, or program that strengthens or enhances the North Area region, supporting communities of any type. Community can be defined by attributes such as spiritual, interest, life-cycle, and identity.

  • Organizational Capacity Building: The process of bringing an organization to the next level of operational, programmatic, financial, or organizational maturity. It reflects an investment in the effectiveness and future sustainability of an organization to effectively deliver its mission. This does not include staff salaries. Examples of capacity building include: board and lay leader development, succession planning, marketing and communication strategy, fundraising planning, strategic planning, staff training and development, technology improvements, and organizational assessment.
