Excellent Teachers: Investing in Education

We're investing in Jewish education by supporting excellence in our teachers. Thanks to strong partnerships with Hebrew College and Gateways: Access to Jewish Education, we've created a number of opportunities for teachers to collaborate across the community, develop creative new ways to engage and empower students, and test new models for bringing innovation and technology into the classroom.

Congregational Education Initiative (CEI)

CEI is a professional development program for teachers, offered jointly by Hebrew College and CJP’s Jewish Learning Connections. There are currently four separate programs, each focusing on a different way to transform school culture around teaching and learning. Read about these programs at hebrewcollege.edu and contact Marion Gribetz, Director of CEI, at mgribetz@hebrewcollege.edu for more information.

Gateways: Access to Jewish Education

Gateways' vision is to enable Jewish children with special educational needs to become successful participants in the Jewish community. Through financial support from CJP, Gateways offers annual grants to congregational and community schools as well as preschools and early learning centers to help them make Jewish learning accessible to children of all capabilities. Gateways offers access to consultation, coaching, professional development and other support services to schools in the Greater Boston area. Learn about Gateways’ community services at jgateways.org and contact Sherry Grossman, Director of Community Services, at sherryg@jgateways.org for more information.

Grow, Lead, Inspire: Jewish Learning and Engagement Professional Development

CJP’s Jewish Learning and Engagement team invites all Jewish education professionals in the Greater Boston area to join together for learning. Each year we offer workshops that appeal to the broad community of education professionals from congregation, day school or community settings who work with young children, teens, youth or families.
