Leadership Development Institute: Testimonials

"Our experience in participating in the LDI program was nothing less than transformational for our congregation. While we had already thought of ourselves as a dynamic, well-organized, innovative synagogue community, the LDI experience enabled us to develop a shared vision, coalesce our energy around making that vision manifest, and bring us to greater heights than we could have imagined."
Rabbi Howard Jaffe, Temple Isaiah, Lexington

“The assistance that I’ve received from David Trietsch both before and during my term as temple president has been invaluable. He’s provided everything from helpful reading materials to coaching advice to participation in an internal leadership conference. David listens and responds in a way that is useful and helpful. We are lucky to have such a great partner at CJP’s LDI.”
Brian C. Levey
President, Temple Shir Tikva
Wayland, MA

Over the years, the LDI team have helped me and my fellow leaders at Temple Shalom sharpen our skills, hone our vision, and produce realistic strategies for moving our community forward. I never pass on an opportunity to work with David and his colleagues. They are one of CJP's treasures and, I think, best kept secrets.
Rabbi Eric Gurvis, Temple Shalom, Newton

"I'm so thankful for the enormous creativity, wisdom, humor, skill and compassion with which the LDI team nourished our growth as Jewish leaders and human beings.  As a rabbi, I'm also deeply grateful that LDI created a powerful, conceptual vocabulary and a valuable set of leadership tools that the congregation's lay leaders and I share as we do the sacred work of leading our community."
Rabbi Jonathan Kraus
Beth El Temple Center
Belmont, Massachusetts

At a critical time early in my rabbinate at Mishkan Tefila, LDI enabled me meet in an intimate setting with future leaders of the congregation and share study and ideas together in an open atmosphere.  The exercises led by David Trietsch were eye-opening and have continued to have an impact as people who participated in our LDI sessions have entered lay leadership. I look forward to continuing to work with LDI as the synagogue works on designing its future.
Rabbi Lenny Gordon, Congregation Mishkan Tefila, Chestnut Hill

LDI was a great experience for my synagogue leadership.  It gave us tools to be thoughtful and creative in tackling significant issues in our congregation.  It also brought the leadership together with a common vision for the future.
Rabbi Dan Judson

"Participating in Siach this year has been an immensely valuable experience. It has provided me with a caring community of my peers and a safe space to explore together the challenges inherrant to our early years in the rabbiniate. I have learned a tremendous amount from the experiences and wisdom of my colleagues as well as from the resources we share with one another and that are brought to us by the LDI facilitators. I eagerly look forward to Siach each month. My rabbinate is markedly stronger and healthier because of my participation in this group."
Rabbi E. Gottlieb
