"May there be peace within your walls and serenity within your homes.”
"יהי שלום בחילך שלוה בארמנותיך"
Boston is in a housing crisis. We know the effects of homelessness are devastating, and families throughout our Jewish and broader communities are facing the possibility of unsafe, unstable, and uncertain housing. Research shows that the most effective and economically efficient way to address homelessness is to prevent it in the first place. In Greater Boston, public housing residents who are at risk for eviction owe on average $1,500 or less in rent, while the cost of emergency shelter is more than $30,000 for a family per year. We're working with our Greater Boston neighbors who share similar values, helping to repair the world by addressing the root causes of homelessness before families are in crisis.
.בזה השער לא יבוא צער
.בזאת הדירה לא תבוא צרה
.בזאת הדלת לא תבוא בהלה
.בזאת המחלקה לא תבוא מחלוקת
.בזה המקום תהי ברכה ושלום
Blessing for the Home:
Let no sadness come through this gate.
Let no trouble come to this dwelling.
Let no fear come through this door.
Let no conflict be in this place.
Let this home be filled with the blessing of joy and peace.
