CJP Communal Security Initiative

Jeremy is the Co-chair of the Northeast Regional Security Director, Secure Community Network (SCN) and has co-chaired other SCN committees in the past. He is a Steering Committee member for the U.S. State Department, Overseas Security Advisory Council, Faith Based Sector Committee. He is a member of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) New England Law Enforcement Committee. From 2006 to 2018, he served as a member of ADL’s National Communal Security Advisory Board.

Jeremy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and Latin American studies from Harvard University and a Master of Science degree in administration from Boston University, Metropolitan College.

Before coming to CJP, Daniel was Associate Regional Director at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) New England where his portfolio included communal security and working closely with law enforcement, clergy, elected officials, and partner organizations to address incidents of hate and bias in communities across Massachusetts.

He also previously served as Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of New Hampshire, and Director of Public Affairs at the Consulate General of Israel to New England. Daniel has presented on white supremacist activity, violent extremism, antisemitism, and other forms of hate for a wide variety of audiences.

Daniel has a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master of Liberal Arts from Harvard University as well as an MA in security studies with a concentration in homeland defense at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He is a member of the FBI Boston Mass Bay Threat Assessment Team as well as the FBI Boston Community Engagement Council. Daniel is an active member of MACA (the Massachusetts Association of Crime Analysts), a former Committee Chair on the New England Board of ATAP (Association of Threat Assessment Professionals), and an academic reviewer for publications focused on terrorism and violent extremism.

Ken is a member of the of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force Executive Group and serves on the Homeland Security Committee for the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He was formerly appointed to the Faith-Based Security Advisory Council of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He is a member of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) New England Law Enforcement Committee. From 2006 to 2018, he served as a member of ADL’s National Communal Security Advisory Board. He has participated in global training programs including summits in Israel to study successful counter-terrorism strategies. He raised more than $10,000 for Cops for Kids with Cancer by running the 2010 Boston Marathon.

Ken received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from North Adams State College, a master’s degree in criminal justice from Anna Maria College, and a graduate certificate in public administration from Suffolk University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and of the Executive Leaders Program at the Naval Postgraduate School.
